Ayurvedic Tour - Southern India
Ayurveda, India's ancient science of healing is at a conservative estimate, some 3000 years old. This traditional form of Indian medicine was developed by ancient sages whose observations led to the development of constitutional medicine. The ancients visualised the universe as a constant play of energies, an imbalance of which created discomfort and disease in the body. It was the duty of the physician to harmonise this imbalance of the body-mind and environment.
Ayurveda is purely herbal based, its medication made from the roots, the leaves, the sap or even the bark of a tree, from small shrubs and weeds, from spices and their extracts. No chemicals are used and so there are no side effects.
Rejuvenation Therapy or Rasayana Chikistha aims are preventing the effects of ageing on the human body together with promoting the quality and quantity of one's life span. It tones up the skin, rejuvenates and strengthens the tissues, increases primary vitality and improves mental clarity and thereby increases the resistance of the body, so as to achieve improved health and longevity.
